Ramblin Rod: The Man!

by Alex Jensen
(Kennewick, Washington, USA)

I remember waking up and have the Ramblin Rod Show show on all the time while I would get ready for school...watching him come on the boat and greet the kids in the studio with a smile.

I noticed how he had a knack of talking to the children, making them say anything, like Art Linkletter did. I never had gone on the show, but my sister had, and she told me that Rod Anders was an outstanding man, who would try to get any kid to smile during the smile contest. Though Rod somehow got me to love buttons and pins, and I can swear to you I have a jacket filled with pins!

I hope someone would walk in his footsteps to start up another kid's show for the next generation. However, no one can replace Ramblin Rod. He is, right now, entertaining future children in heaven... God Bless a good soul who love his children.
