PDX makes your Portland airport parking a breeze....as far as airport parking goes. ;)
Anytime you are heading into the airport, PDX or otherwise, there is always that unavoidable lump in your throat, dreading ever getting in and the equally scream-worthy....ever getting out! Not to worry, though. As busy as it may be, parking at the Portland airport is accommodating. Of course, saving money on Portland Airport parking
is going to make any stress a lot more bearable.
As you make your way toward PDX on Airport Way, look for the blue signs to direct you
to exactly where you want to go and where you wish to park your vehicle. Everything is well laid out, but it's always best to give your full attention to where you're headed so you don't end up making a wrong turn.
Upon entering a Portland airport parking lot, take your ticket from the dispenser and keep it with you. You'll need it once you leave. Present it to the cashier in the booth near the exits, pay your fee and you're on your way (if you happen to be in any of the garages, you can opt to use any of the Quick Pay machines). Alternately, you can also use your credit card to pay at the entrance machine. Insert it when you come in and do it again when you exit. No ticket is needed.
PDX parking takes all the major credit cards and debit cards. Fees range from about $3 an hour up to $24 a day, depending on which lot you select. Bicycles and motorcycles can be parked for free. Just look for the signs.
All lots are very well lit, fenced and secure, and open around the clock. Shuttles are running, non-stop, to pick you up and return you to your car, should you be in a lot that is a good distance from the main building. Sky bridges wind their way from the lots to the terminal to make the transfer of yourselves and your luggage a treat. PDX has you covered! ;)
Now, if you are simply dropping someone off or picking them up, you can pull right up to the curb on the upper or lower levels to do so. No problem whatsoever. You are not allowed to leave your vehicle unattended, of course, but a quick hit and run for your loved ones is fast and easy. If you plan on being longer, you should consider using the Portland airport parking garage right across the street from the main terminal.
