A Unique Journey Throughout
The City Of Portland Oregon

What is uniquely Portland Oregon? The 24-hr Church of Elvis, for sure! Voodoo Doughnut, home of the famous Bacon Maple Bar, is uniquely Portland Oregon. Maybe it's because the NY Times dubbed us as "the capital of karaoke" in the United States. Hey, we even have a television show all about our quirky selves called Portlandia!

I grew up in Milwauke, OR, which is located to the Southeast of Portland. I spent a good deal of those "growing-up" years with my friends, enjoying this city. As is typical with good memories of youth, the City of Rose cemented itself in my heart.

Without a doubt, the city of Portland is one of the most eclectic places there is and I am completely infatuated with it! You can literally go from pristine and proper to weird and wonderful within blocks of one another.

Stroll down the lit streets of Portland’s Pearl District and enjoy a latte at one of the many restaurants providing outside seating. Or grab it to go and lounge around in Jamison Square, smack-dab in the middle of the Pearl, with a lovely fountain to watch and enjoy.

Hit the bricks of Pioneer Courthouse Square during the summer months and enjoy an outside movie at Flicks on the Bricks or the odorific (yes, I made that up) Portland Saturday Market.

Take a ride on our beautiful Portland Oregon MAX light rail around the city streets and beyond...or hop the Portland Streetcar and let it carry you from North to South, along 10th and 11th avenues.

No matter where you wander in Portland, Oregon, you’re going to find exciting, interesting and fun things to do and see... not to mention, a great place to live!

So, What Makes Uniquely Portland Oregon Unique?

What is the biggest difference between this and any other web site out there about Portland?

Any other web site is going to give facts, figures and text. You can get that blah sort of stuff at Wikipedia. At Uniquely Portland Oregon, you’re going to get experiences. I have a passion for this wonderful city.

This web site is a living journal of not only words, but sight and sound. I’m walking the streets, describing the sights, smells and feel of this incredible city in the Pacific NW.

I’m not going to simply tell you about places. I’m going there.

Not just telling you about great places to stay. I’m staying there.

Not just letting you know about the best places to eat. I'm eating there (I love that part! haha).

You’re going to experience the City of Roses as you will never experience it on any other web site; as close to first hand as if you were here yourself.

Now, I may not do everything perfect, but it will always be a work in progress. I doubt I'll ever run out of things to share with you about the lovely city of Portland, Oregon. As long as there are things to do, I am so there!

Read about my experiences and watch my videos. Enjoy yourself. That's what my web site is all about.

You’re in for a great ride here at Uniquely Portland Oregon.

Welcome To My City!
